The department has three(3) units under it; mathematics, english language and business studies. The general studies department offers general courses which include mathematics, english language, management, economics, sociology, industrial management, operations management, marketing, small scale business management, citizenship education, use of library and entrepreneurship education to all programmes of the Institute: Certifate programmes, Pre-ND, Diploma, National Diploma and Higher National Diploma Programmes.
